How it all began
WorkNomads was launched in 2021 with the vision of creating a nation without a country. Today, more than 200 employees live, work and enjoy their time across the whole world. Here’s how we got here.
It started with a belief
That your background should never define your destination, and that everyone should have equal rights, opportunities and freedoms in life. Observing that people will want to live and work anywhere and anytime it suits them best.
Building our home base
We officially launched WorkNomads on the same day we received the keys to our WN Lab Hotel. We started building our community while fully refurbishing our new home base.
WN Lab Hotel is a new concept, it serves as a lifestyle hub for our nomads and clients where we redefine the boundaries of traditional living and workspaces.
WorkNomads today
Five years after our founding in 2021, our vision continues to grow into reality.
Today, WorkNomads is a team of over 200 people from 41 nationalities, working remotely across different continents and collaborating through our hub in Sofia. Our WN Lab Hotel serves as a meeting point for our team and clients, bringing together engineering expertise, collaboration, and community under one roof.

We aim to grow as a top-quality engineering services company, recognised for combining technical expertise with a diverse and collaborative way of working.
Looking ahead, we want to expand the WN Lab concept to additional locations around the world, more notably in Asia and South America supporting our global team and the long-term needs of our clients.

A truly global team
We’re a team with a backpack full of different backgrounds, experiences and nationalities. Yet, we all encountered the same challenges in our work lives. It brings us all together, determined to build a better future, a nation without a country.
What’s in a name?
We don’t believe in titles, we believe in people. So we don’t have managers, vice presidents or directors in our team. Instead, we have spotters, digital trailblazers, queen bees, totemists, alchemists, grand jugglers, housing rainmakers, e-commerce traffickers, and many, many more. We like to work as much as possible with a flat management structure and let people stand up and take responsibility when it’s their level of expertise or their drive to do so.
